a chair sketch my boyfriend nick drew. i liked it so much i took it to work with me and put it up on the wall. i think it looks awesome. what do you think?
photo from bethany at telling gets old time. something to consider. i have had almost none of it lately, with greenbuilding stuff at work and numerous meetings with US green building council people from our local maine chapter… journalism is not easy, especially if you’re anything like me and you throw yourself into it. i feel like i don’t have enough time lately – i need it more and more as i get older. nick was really funny, he said “honey, that’s called professionalism.” i guess he’s right. here i am, in an office, busting my ass to get the best […]
this is marceline, marcie for short. she is our new kitten (she’s just a year old) we got on saturday. it was my birthday, so nick and i rode the bus out to our friends’ house and borrowed their car. we got to the foster home (marcie is from a shelter) and marcie was just perfect. she came right up to me and wanted lots of love and attention. she’s wonderful. we went home and watched movies all day while we snuggled up together on the couch. it was a long and fun day. nick made the most delicious fettucine […]
i took this on sunday when nick&i went for a walk in the park. the sky was gorgeous (it didn’t feel like winter… sad!) and so was the weather, though it was a bit cold. we discovered a really awesome playground we will most likely go back to when it’s too dark for other people to be there. fun! 🙂 i got some amazing photos of a squirrel also.
i’m on the far right. 3 middle siblings on the left, before the small boys were born. * my momma is sending me a package. i’m pretty excited. yes, i’m nearly 23 and i call her “momma” but frankly i don’t care and i will likely call her that until i die. in any case, i don’t feel almost 23. i feel almost 43. it’s weird to realize that so many people my age are making big mistakes and finding themselves and doing crazy things… and i guess i’m doing a lot with my time (it never seems like i […]
