I was born in California in January 1989 and transplanted to Dover, New Jersey at the age of six with my three younger siblings and my parents. There I spent most of my childhood until the family (then with eight members total) was transplanted again in the midwestern town of Seward, Nebraska when I was 17. I stayed in Nebraska and tried out college until I was 21, and then when I needed something more, a different adventure, I moved to Philadelphia.

In Philadelphia during my adventures I met Nicholas, the love of my life and we found our way to Portland, Maine in 2011. It’s my favorite state, for a variety of reasons.

I was primarily brought up on classical, Biblical, ancient, and American mythology, fairy tales, Eastern folklore, and the history of Greece, Rome, and Egypt. There are elements of science fiction in my stories which are derived from the influence of my favorite authors such as Ursula K. LeGuin, Michael Crichton, and Frank Herbert. I also like to tap into my experience working with technology, and my fascination with seeing space in person some day.
